Nite Eats DayThe gentry and city dwellers may not know or even believe the myth, but it’s true. The sun is moved by the gods. Actually the task is assigned to one special deity, Asagi the Sky God. Sun in hand, Asagi sallies forth from the edge of world to carry the day through its dim infancy all the way to its bloody death. Asagi always ends the day’s life himself, feeding it to baby Nite, ripe and raw. Unless Nite chokes on a day and hurls the world into what is neither light nor darkness the process will go on forever. An endless cycle of death and rebirth.Nite Eats Day
